How have you changed over the last 5 years?
The person I was 5 years ago is a complete night and day difference to the person I am now. It really is incredible how much even just a few months can change you. I was trying to find my footing in a new city, and was trying to recreate my career in an industry where I was starting over from scratch. Despite knowing nothing and no one, I took every opportunity I was given and worked hard every single day to become the woman I am now. I never gave up.

What was your job before you were a makeup artist?
I started my makeup career 17 years ago. When I turned 14 I started working at Nordstrom, where I met the people that would eventually take a chance on me and change my life by mentoring me. They happened to come in to shop with me, and after hitting it off, they offered to help me by giving me the first job that would begin my career in the beauty business.

What would you say is your biggest accomplishment to date?
Becoming an educator for the Mastered Program has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. To be teaching students alongside people like Alex Box, Bea Akurland and Guido Palau is something I could never have dreamed of.

Why did you decide to start your own YouTube channel?
I knew I had to begin to share not just my techniques but more of my personality with everyone. I didn't want to hide behind my work anymore. I think that putting more of myself out there has been very rewarding by connecting me more with the people who support me.

What goals do you have for your channel?
I hope that the videos just get better and better! I know that things are so new at the moment and I have a long way to go. I have all the confidence in the world that this will continue to grow and be a fun place for other artists and potential artists to not just enjoy but to learn from.

What would you say sets your channel apart from the rest?
As someone who has worked with many different clients, celebrities, artists and magazines over the last 17 years, I believe I can give a unique perspective to the beauty business through the eyes of an agency makeup artist.

Do you have any upcoming projects you can tell us about?
There are many new editorials and features that are coming out soon that I am so thrilled about! The new issue of Schön! Magazine is out and filled with so many great images that I have been waiting for. A new campaign shot by Ellen Von Unwerth for Bvlgari is also out soon along with our shoot with David Guetta. There's always something fun happening every week. I am so grateful for the full plate of fun adventures I have to look forward to.

What are some of your ride or die makeup products?
I would die without my TemptuAIR airbrush machine! I love the flawless finish I always get and beautiful dewy texture. I also love my Burberry shadow pallets and Kevy Aucoin foundations. A must for every kit!

What is your ultimate career goal?
I hope I just get to keep growing more and more every day. I want to continue to have the honor to work alongside the artists I admire while also creating more great images with teams that inspire me.

How would you describe your personal style?
I definitely would describe my style as "drag grandmother." I have classic taste mixed with bold colors that I just can't get away from!
